Ready for $20 on the 20th?
How will you spend your $20 on Monday?
Along with several area partners, the Yuma Sun is sponsoring the 20 on the 20th campaign. The campaign encourages Yuma County residents to spend $20 on local goods and services on July 20 to help jump-start the local economy.
If all the residents in Yuma County participate, their efforts could inject $3.8 million into the local economy.
The Yuma Sun asked several Yumans how they plan to spend it.
Here's what some residents had to say:
Sherry Christian, of Yuma
Would buy: two books by author Mary Baxter: A Divine Revelation of the Spiritual Realm and A Divine Revelation of Angels
At: a book store
A good read: Sherry enjoys reading the testimonials Baxter writes, and she has had her eye on the two books.
David Hardy, of Yuma
Would buy: $20 worth of golf balls
At: The Sports Authority
Fore: David is going to play nine holes of golf with his new purchase, but the balls should last him about a month, he said.
Nancy Obinna, of Yuma
Would buy: a book in the J.R. Ward series The Black Dagger Brotherhood, and a shrimp pasta with a salad
At: a book store and Red Lobster
A story to die for: Nancy would also love to see the books turned into a series on HBO.
Doug Seich, of Yuma

At: a bookstore
Anything in particular?: Nothing in mind right now, but Doug will have until Monday to think about what his next read will be.

At: Sportsmen's Hide-A-Way

At: Twigs
Shop till you drop: Nicole said she'd love to spend $20 in Twigs. "It's fun to just go in there and shop," she said.
