Owner of Green Building Partners, Norton specializes in commercial and residential green improvements and audits.
Theresa Wine
Theresa Wine recently joined 1st Bank Yuma as vice president, mortgage loan director. Her services include conventional, FHA and VA lending as well as construction loan financing.
Wine has been a mortgage banker in Yuma since 1985, originally with First Federal. Most recently, she was head of the mortgage loan department for the former Yuma Community Bank.
Thomas R. "Tom" Thompson
Thomas R. "Tom" Thompson has joined the staff of 1st Bank Yuma in its midtown office at 1690 S. 4th Ave. as a commercial banker.
Thompson earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture from the University of Arizona in 1976 and a master's degree, also in agriculture, from the University of Florida in 1978.
Upon graduation, he worked as an agriculture agent in Selma, Ala., before starting his banking career in 1981 as a commercial lender with Valley National Bank in Yuma. Most recently he was regional president for the Southwest Region for National Bank of Arizona.
Thompson sits on several boards, including Yuma County Hospital District, University of Arizona Alumni Association and Boy Scouts of America. He also is involved with the Arizona Western College Athletic Association and is the bishop of the Yuma 9th Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Rick Rademacher
Rick Rademacher, longtime Yuma-area produce grower, was presented the Arizona Farm Bureau Heritage Award during the organization's awards ceremony at its annual conference.
The award recognizes those in agriculture who have given extraordinary voluntary service to the industry and to Farm Bureau.
Rademacher, who was nominated by the Yuma County Farm Bureau, has served more than 20 years with the organization. He held the county president's position for two years and has been a state board member for four years. For the past 16 years, he has served on Arizona’s Agricultural Employment Relations Board.
Rademacher also has been a board member of Yuma Fresh Vegetable Shippers Association for 12 years and was president in 2007. Currently, he serves on the Arizona Western College curriculum review board to help ensure classes at AWC will transfer to the University of Arizona agricultural program.
His service extends to the community's youths through his church youth program, Boy Scouts and sports.
