Goodwill job fair
A job fair will be offered by Goodwill of Central Arizona from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Yuma Civic Center, free to employers and job seekers.

To register to have a table, employers may come by the Goodwill office at 1600 S. 4th Ave. or call 783-4190. Deadline to register is Sept. 17.

‘Good Morning Yuma!'
The Yuma County Chamber of Commerce “Good Morning Yuma!” will be at 6:30 a.m. Sept. 13 at the Pivot Point Conference Center, 310 N. Madison Ave. Cost is $15 per person.

This month's sponsor is United Way of Yuma County.

Workshop on recording, reporting occupational injuries, illnesses
Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health will present a workshop on requirements for recording and reporting occupational injuries and illnesses. The workshop will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Yuma County Main Library, 2951 S. 21st Drive.

Military's impact on community
The impact on the local economy of Yuma's two military installations will be the topic for the next business forum, Know Yuma Inside & Out. The forum will be from 7 to 8 a.m. Sept. 20 in the council chambers at Yuma City Hall, One City Hall. The event is free and includes a continental breakfast.

Col. Reed Young will speak for Yuma Proving Ground and Col. Robert Kuckuk will speak for Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.

All business people are invited to attend and gain information that could be helpful to their companies.


The monthly forum is hosted by the Yuma Sun in partnership with the city of Yuma, Yuma County Chamber of Commerce, Yuma Visitors Bureau and Greater Yuma Economic Development Corp. to provide local business leaders with information to help them grow their businesses.

TWC Supplier Diversity webinar
Time Warner Cable is offering Yuma women and minority owned business suppliers, contractors and professional service providers an opportunity to learn more about how to become a future partner with the company. Some examples might be uniforms, legal and accounting services, small tools, electrical parts and landscaping.

The company is hosting a series of webinars for prospective new vendors to share how they can do business with TWC. Companies in particular owned by women, minorities and disabled veterans are encouraged to participate.
