Kyle Hawkey

Kyle Hawkey recently attended the 30th International Congress of Psychology in Cape Town, South Africa. He was invited as part of a focal symposium with Northern Arizona University-Yuma.

Hawkey participated with attendees from over 106 different countries. This is one of three international conferences he has presented at this year.

Hawkey graduated from Arizona Western College, received a bachelor of science in psychology from Brigham Young University and an MEd in human relations from NAU-Yuma. He is currently a program coordinator, senior for University of Arizona.

Locals attend national meeting

Margaret Purcell, Joeanne Bartlett, Stan Gourley and Chuck Russell of Yuma recently attended the 32nd Biennial National Convention of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association in Sparks, Nev. They represented local Yuma Chapter 266. Elections were held for members of the national executive board.

NARFE, the largest association of federal employees and retirees, is dedicated to protecting their earned rights and benefits.

Jessica Allen of Yuma has enrolled as a freshman at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo. Her current major is undeclared.
