What in your past experiences helps qualify you for this seat? My experiences include, but are not limited to: Arizona State Department of Agriculture, advanced into quarantine/import-export with United States Department of Agriculture. Recruiter for United States Department of Commerce for Yuma County and La Paz County. Personally recruited over 800 locals for employment. Effectively, coordinated and networked with various local and distant organizations. I've also worked with Department of Homeland Security protecting our borders and with MCAS Yuma in various, support operations. I fully understand the challenges faced by our residents.

If elected, what is the one issue on which you would focus to improve Yuma's quality of life? How? Empowering local businesses to restore the county's economy. How? By working assertively to cut taxes for locally owned businesses. In the near future, most jobs will come from local businesses. We cannot “hope” for imaginary industries to bring jobs when they have zero incentive to come here. We don't have the time for government to create a “better” economy, through policies and intervention. We must lower the tax burden for local businesses in our county in order for them to thrive and create jobs.

What do you think is the biggest challenge right now facing Yumans, and how would you change it? The biggest challenge in Yuma County is the same challenge as our nation. In this recession, government is trying to create their own economy through public-private partnerships and “economic development” (which is NOT economic growth). Wasting thousands in tax dollars on such programs is enslaving the people and more directly our children's future!

What would you do to make government more accessible? Since my campaign in March, I've been making it very clear. At my own expense I shall pay to have an office/duty station in the Foothills and further east in the county, where I will be available for residents full-time. The residents must have a place to turn to. I'm going to be there, you can voice issues and concerns. United we will stand. A new day is upon us. As the people's representative, I will also bring the issues to the people most affected by them and explain their options as I am a strong researcher. I will assist the residents with their plan of action. Even if that means my lobbying elsewhere, the people can join me. I will organize road trips. Together we will fight for your tax dollars, land, water, liberty and prosperity!

Who is your personal hero, and why? Historically: George Washington. Although he wasn't the greatest general, he had passion and courage. However, I'd like to take this time to thank my everyday heroes. I'm a single mother and over the years have been encouraged and guided by Mrs. Mary Krieger. Never judged, just loved and encouraged. My children have also enriched my life, I'm blessed solely because of them. The veterans are my heroes, as my fiance is an Iraq vet. Veterans have amazing stories, such as my fiance, who was a combat medic. The educators that believe in the U.S. Constitution! Moreover, the residents that get up every day and push ahead. Their courage to keep making goals, keep on trucking. This vitality will create an energy vital to our human spirit. We must awaken and become our destiny! Awaken with the vision necessary to become heroes in each other's lives!
