‘Good Morning Yuma!'
A candidate forum will be held during this month's “Good Morning Yuma!” The Yuma County Chamber of Commerce event will be held at 6:30 a.m. Thursday at the Arizona Western College 3C Building, 2020 S. Avenue 8E.

Know Yuma: Inside & Out
The area's winter visitors and their economic impact on the community will be the topic of the next in a series of business forums, Know Yuma Inside & Out.
The forum will be held from 7 to 8 a.m. Oct. 18 in the council chambers of Yuma City Hall, One City Plaza. Members of the business community are invited to attend free. Continental breakfast will be available.
The series is sponsored by the Yuma Sun in partnership with the city of Yuma, Yuma County Chamber of Commerce, Yuma Visitors Bureau and Greater Yuma Economic Development Corp.
Profit mastery
The workshop, Profit Mastery: Get Control of Your Business, is being offered by the Arizona Western College Small Business Development Center.
The workshop will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. four consecutive Tuesdays from Oct. 16 to Nov. 5 at the AWC Entrepreneurial Center, 1351 S. Redondo Center Drive. Cost is $375, with a $50 discount for Yuma County Chamber of Commerce members. To register, call 317-6151.
The hands-on workshop will include such topics as overcoming common organizational and business problems, understanding your financial situation, avoiding cash crunches and planning for transition.
Seminar on municipal bonds
Alan Willenbrock, an investment professional for more than 25 years, will present a seminar on municipal bonds from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 16 at Arizona Western College. The seminar will be preceded by registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m.
Cost is $15 for Arizona Society of CPA members and non-CPA staff, $20 for nonmembers.
The presentation will cover such topics as features of municipal securities, adding municipal bonds to an investment portfolio, municipal bond investment strategies and case studies.
Willenbrock is a vice president, portfolio manager and financial adviser with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
Financial planning workshop
Yuma Investment Group Wealth Management will present a workshop on financial planning to reach retirement goals. The workshop will be 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Yuma Main Library, 2951 S. 21st Drive.
Topics will include the importance of financial planning, retirement options, what to consider when planning for retirement and other information. To reserve a seat, call 329-1700 by Oct. 15.
