A New Song: Chile

Desert Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, 12134 N. Frontage Road, will host A New Song: Chile, through Friendship International, at 7 p.m. Thursday. A love offering will be received to help fund their travels and mission. For information, call 305-1132.

Country gospel concert

Frank “The Chief” Durocher, from Alberta, Canada, will give a country gospel concert at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Foothills Assembly of God Church, 12831 E. 41st St. Come early for best seats. There will be a freewill offering.

Spaghetti dinner

St. John Neumann Church, 11545 E. 40th St., will have a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, garlic bread, dessert, coffee, tea or milk. Cost is a donation of $10, which includes one glass of wine. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. The Yuma Barbershop Chorus will follow at 6:30 p.m. All tickets will be pre-sold at the parish office. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Prayer breakfast

The Yuma Area Prayer Breakfast is an annual event that is dedicated to the Christians of our area. This year's breakfast is 9 a.m. Friday at the Yuma Civic Center, with doors opening at 5:45 a.m. There will be a time of prayer, a guest speaker, along with recognition of those in our community who have blessed others. The Marine Corps Color Guard will open the event.

Admission is $20 per person or $160 per table of 8. Tickets may be purchased in advance from The Ark store located in the Crescent Center or by calling Dave Johnson at 782-9043. If still available the morning of the breakfast, tickets will also be sold at the door.

Yard sale

The mission committee of Grace Bible Fellowship, 300 S. 4th Ave., will have a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Feb. 2 in the back parking lot. A wide assortment of merchandise including two scooter chairs will be available. Coffee, donuts and sandwiches available to purchase. No early birds. All proceeds will go to help with missions. Rummage sale

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 14th Avenue and 16th Street, will have a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to noon Feb. 2. For information, call 782-5155.

Aglow brunch

Yuma Aglow Lighthouse will have guest speaker Jacki Holy give a talk Feb. 2 at Ramada Inn, 300 E. 32nd St. The topic “All Things are Possible” will be at 9:45 a.m. Cost is $9.50. RSVP to Priscilla at 1-805-320-2097.
