‘Good Morning Yuma!'

AWC offers job search class
Unlock the mysteries of finding rewarding employment by registering now for AWC 202 Job Search Strategies, a two-credit, late start class that runs from March 19 through May 14. Classes will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:25 to 10:40 a.m. in Room AC 278 on the college's main campus, 2020 S. Avenue 8E.

Know Yuma focuses on water
The next session of Know Yuma: Inside & Out will focus on Yuma's water rights and water issues in the Legislature. The issue came to the forefront recently with the introduction by House Speaker Andy Tobin of HB 2338, which would authorize the establishment of water augmentation authorities that could buy and sell water. The bill is opposed by Yuma County officials and agriculture interests statewide. It currently is held in the Agriculture and Water Committee.
Know Yuma will be held at 7 a.m. March 21 in the council chambers at Yuma City Hall. It is free and includes a continental breakfast.
Public procurement workshop
The city of Yuma and Crane School District will host “Access to Public Procurement” from 2:30 to 4 p.m. March 21 at City Hall in Room 141. The target audience includes contractors, suppliers and professional service providers, who will learn more about the bidding process, how to register with AZPurchasing, the benefits for doing so and what goods and services the private sector is purchasing.

QuickBooks intro course
QuickBooks Introduction will be offered March 19-21 from 6 to 9 p.m. each evening at the AWC Entrepreneurial Center, 1351 S. Redondo Center Drive. Cost is $149.
