The Yuma chapter of American Business Women's Association will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Radisson, 1501 S. Redondo Center Drive. Cost of $20 is collected at the door for members and guests for dinner and networking.

A workshop about building a work environment that inspires trust, commitment and enthusiasm will be presented from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the Arizona Western College Entrepreneurial Center, 1351 S. Redondo Center Drive. Cost is $44.

Government procurement program
The Diversity Business Development Center is sponsoring the 2013 Yuma Government Procurement Outlook Conference to be held April 18-19 at the Yuma Civic Center in Yuma. The conference will provide a forum for businesses to identify contract opportunities with government agencies and establish mutually beneficial business relationships.
Topics will include an overall of how to do business with each organization, overview of diversity programs, upcoming capital projects and contact information for them. The event also will include information on federal spending cuts due to sequestration.
