A man suffered a head wound Sunday afternoon when another man struck him with a stick.
According to the Yuma Police Department, a witness called in a report just before 4 p.m. of a man bleeding from the head in the area of 6th Street and Orange Avenue. Witnesses told police that another man had hit the victim, who was bleeding profusely, with a large stick and then fled into a nearby apartment building.
Officers found the suspect hiding in an apartment near the area and arrested him without incident. Authorities planned to book Paul John (P.J.) Talario II, 44, of Yuma, into the Yuma County jail on charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
The victim was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
