I am continually amazed by parents who pick their kids up from school.
Recently, I noticed drivers cutting off other drivers in the school parking lot, pulling out in front of each other and generally driving like mad people.
The icing on the cake, however, was when the cars were leaving the parking area. All were generally in a single-file line, which was moving slowly, as kids sometimes dart in front of it.
All of the sudden, a silver SUV raced up the side of the line, cutting off the other parents, in a space that moments before contained a group of young kids. Why the need to drive so fast and recklessly?
If you are in a school parking lot at closing time, it's likely because you have a kid there — as do all the other drivers around you. Let's exercise a little patience and make sure all the kids get home safely.
