You won't find a person who hates the Yankees more than I do.
As a Red Sox fan, everything about that ugly pinstripe jersey makes me sick to my stomach. Apparently, I'm not alone.
Baseball prospect Ian Clarkin recently did a pre-draft interview in which he said his favorite sports moment is when the Diamondbacks beat the Yankees in the 2001 World Series.
“I cannot stand the Yankees, so I was actually in tears I was so happy,” he said.
One problem, though.
The Yankees ended up drafting him.
Naturally, Clarkin did the stereotypical turnaround and said he and his dad will learn to love the Yankees.
I, for one, would never play for the Yankees. I'd tell them to go back to the Bronx. There's absolutely, positively no way I could ever see myself playing for the Evil Empire.
What's that? A $2 million signing bonus?
Where do I sign?
