The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man and woman who allegedly shoplifted three bottles of alcohol from a pharmacy in the Foothills.
Alfonso Zavala, YCSO public information officer, said that at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Monday, deputies responded to the CVS Pharmacy at 11464 S. Fortuna Road in reference to a shoplifting incident.
Zavala said upon arrival, deputies were advised that an unknown male and female had walked out of the store without paying for three bottles of liquor. He added that a witness at the store overheard the male subject refer to the female suspect as “mom.”
The suspects, however, had fled the area prior to deputies' arrival. Zavala said the suspects were seen in a four-door sedan, possibly a late '90s to mid-2000s Mazda or Mitsubishi. The vehicle was missing a rear driver side hubcap and appears to have a dent on the driver side fender.
If anyone has seen the vehicle or recognizes the male subject please contact the Yuma County Sheriff's Office at 783-4427 or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.
