AWC to offer new English class
This fall, Arizona Western College, 2020 South Avenue 8E, will be offering a Stephen Hawking inspired English course, ENG 220 Science Fiction.
The class will attempt to "time travel," inviting students to place invitations in a time capsule, giving exact geographical coordinates for the campus, as well as the class schedule in Zulu time.
"They will also hide the invitations where they might not be found for decades, when time travel may be possible - places such as little-used reference books in libraries, etc," stated AWC. "Cambridge cosmologist Stephen Hawking explains how he sent a similar invitation for a time travelers' party in a Discovery Chanel episode, 'Into the Universe: Time Travel.'"
