Young adult concert to benefit Salvation Army
Comments 0 | Recommend 0 Young Adult Musicians of Yuma will present a benefit concert at 5 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1550 S. 14th Ave.
The public is invited. Donations will benefit the Salvation Army's Disaster Fund for victims of tornadoes, hurricanes and floods.
Performers include pianists Rebecca Lopez, Ryan Brooks, students of Maxine Dhaiti and Tien Pham; trombone: Ernie Ortega, taught by Carl Posch; violins, Jennifer Jin and Marilyn Holt, students of Kerry Lucero.
Vocalists include Sarah Fletcher; Alexa Juarez, soprano, Haime Inda and Luis Aradillas, students of Charles Smalley; Philip Hoovestal, Melanie Almeda, James Irr and Krystine Mendoza, Wendy Turner students.
An octet directed by Beth Tibbs includes Teresa Tibbs-Tacke, Jessie Tibbs-Tacke, Melanie Almeda, Allison Dedecker, Beryl Lay, Dawn Wilson, Alexa Juarez and Mary Guzman.
