Yuma Community Theater wants your ideas
Following the success of its 2006 production of "The Sound of Music," the Yuma Community Theater is now seeking input from people in the community concerning what Broadway shows they would like to see produced locally.
"Over the past 26 years, more than 100 Broadway shows have been produced in Yuma. By popular request, The Sound of Music' was produced again this year, as it had been 17 years ago," said Fred Brown, president of the YCT board.
"Now we would like some ideas for different shows. These must be quality shows, " Brown said.
YCT is looking for qualified directors and producers. People wishing to direct or produce a play must have experience with live theater, Brown said.
"We have talented actors, but we do need directors and producers," Brown said.

"Another preqrequisite for being a director or producer is that the individual must be prepared to be committed to the position from three to five months. These are volunteer positions, as no one in YCT is paid for services," Brown said.
