Comedian Gonzalez coming to civic center
Comments 0 | Recommend 0 Dubbed "The Best Comedian in Mexico" also known as "The Pony-Tailed Comedian," Teofilo Gonzalez will be performing at the Yuma Civic Center, 1440 Desert Hills Drive, at 8 p.m. Friday.
"Gonzalez was born and raised in the city of Leon, Guanajuato, where he played soccer. When he was 18, he moved to Guadalajara and became the anchor of 'Para Cargarse de Risa' on Televisa Jalisco," said Bert Elizabeth Ijams, public information person for the civic center.
Continuing with biographical information, Ijams said, "He has been part of several comedy series that have been transmitted on a national level in the United States, Central and South America. "
In the United States, his Hispanic audiences have viewed shows including "Don Francisco Presenta," "El Show de Cristina" and "Sabado Gigante."
"Since 2001, he has been featured in person in more than 70 shows in California, Seattle, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta , Phoenix and in Texas," Ijams said.
Tickets are now on sale at the civic center and at the Del Sol Markets in San Luis, Somerton and Yuma. Seats are $36 and $46, depending on the reserved locations.
