Mello Bean, Dream Machine to perform

  Here are upcoming band performances starting Friday.

*Friday- Live music will take place at the Arizona Western College block party, 6500 E. County 10 St., starting at 5 p.m. Local and Phoenix bands will be performing alternative rock. They include: Tugboat, Neba, The Castratos, Lucid Dream Machine, Apollos Groove, Loudmouth, and The Mexican Ostrich. The concert is free and open to the public.
 
 *Saturday- Tugboat, C.D.O., Airplane to Gareea, Mello Bean, The Input, The Abandoned Act, and Lucid Dream Machine will be performing. The concert will take place at Joe Henry Park, 23 Avenue and Colorado Street, starting at 5 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

 *Saturday- Yuma Jazz Company Quintet will be performing at Julieanna's Patio Cafe, 1951 W. 25th St., from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. This will be the band's last seasonal performance at Julieanna's. The band will be performing Latin, swing, contemporary jazz, and original music. There will be no cover charge and no age limit. The restaurant's food and drink menu will be available. *Wednesday- On May 7th the Cibola High School Choirs will have their final concert for the year under the direction of Lyn M. Curry. The concert will be held at the Cibola auditorium, 4100 W. 20th St., starting at 7 p.m. They will sing a variety of music including classical and musical pieces, and there will be solos and duets including one called "Habanera" from Bizet's opera "Carmen." It is free but donations are accepted and will be used to improve Cibola's choral library.
