Kofa checked for bomb

Kofa High School was evacuated Thursday afternoon, shortly before classes were to be released for the day, due to a bomb threat. Yuma police searched the campus, assisted by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team K-9 from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.

No injuries were reported as a result of the evacuation, and nothing suspicious was found. Yuma police remained on scene for several hours to conduct an investigation.
