Comments 0 | Recommend 0 Two convicted sex offenders have new addresses in Yuma County, according to sheriff's deputies.
Leland Jones now lives as 37347 E. Emerald Drive in Roll, and Lewis Thompson at 39829 Colorado Ave. in Tacna, the Yuma County Sheriff's Office said in news releases.
Jones was convicted in 1974 of a sex-related offense, in 1984 of soliciting a lewd act, in 2004 of failure to register as a sex offender and in 2005 of sexual battery, YCSO said, adding the victims were boys.
He is 6 feet 4 inches and 262 pounds, and has blond hair and blue eyes. He is considered a Level 3 sex offender who poses a high risk of reoffending, according to YCSO.
Lewis Thompson was convicted in March 2005 of sexual conduct with a minor. The victim was identified as a 15-year-old girl.
Thompson is considered to be a Level 2 offender who poses a medium risk of reoffending.
He is 5 feet 9 inches, 140 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes, YCSO said.
State law requires law enforcement agencies to notify the public when certain sex offenders change addresses.
