YRMC collecting school supplies through Aug. 1
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Yuma Regional Medical Center's campaign to collect school supplies for needy children in Yuma County continues through Aug. 1.
YRMC is seeking enough donations in the Drive for School Supplies to fill 2,000 backpacks.
The hospital will distribute the backpacks to the county's schools, which will then give them out to children needing supplies.
Supplies requested are backpacks for all ages, pens, crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, three-ring binders, folders, notebook paper, rulers, erasers and scissors.
The public can drop off school supplies at YRMC's main entrance, east entrance and the Women and Children Center entrance near Avenue A and 24th Street, and at Yuma Regional Corporate Center, 399 W. 32nd St.
Tax-deductible monetary donations are also accepted through the Foundation of YRMC. All donations will go for school supplies for area children.
Volunteers are needed to help fill backpacks with supplies beginning Aug. 4. For more information about the campaign, call 336-7005.
