YUHSD programs, events to be updated

Staff and faculty from across the Yuma Union High School District will share updates on various programs within the district during a governing board meeting Wednesday.

Updates will include information on the Early College STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Mathematics) Academy, Ready Now Yuma and the 2011-2012 YUHSD internal budget. Additionally the board will hear updates on districtwide transportation, special services and the safety committee.

Student council members from Kofa, San Luis and Cibola high schools will present the board with reports on past and upcoming events on their campuses.

The school board meeting will be held at 5:15 p.m. in the YUHSD governing board room, 3150 S. Avenue A. Visit www.yumaunion.org to view the meeting agenda.
