District 1 board to consider OK'ing new principal at Woodard
Yuma Elementary School District 1 governing board members will consider approving a new principal for Woodard Junior High School on Monday.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the district administration office, 450 W. 6th St.
Associate Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Duane Sheppard will also recommend that the board approve an application for the Yuma Digital Learning Academy to become a state-approved online instruction provider beginning in the fall.
In other meeting news, Superintendent Darwin Stiffler will present information to the board about a school improvement grant for Fourth Avenue Junior High School. During this time, it will be shared what the $200,000 grant will go toward FAJH's campus.
Lastly, chief financial officer Kerry Jones will provide monthly budget and enrollments to the board.
