Paradise Casinos temporarily closes doors
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The slot-machine melodies that fill Paradise Casinos fell silent Tuesday night.
Paradise Casinos officials were expected to close the doors at 8 p.m. Tuesday for roughly 19 hours for required maintenance.
This is the third time that officials have had to temporarily close the casinos
to the public.
The first time was in 2000 for the installation of a new online slot system, the second was in 2002 due to a nearby brush fire.
The doors are expected to reopen at 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.
To thank customers for their patience, guests entering the casinos will receive a $20 free slot play from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., a $15 free slot play from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a $10 free slot play from 9 p.m. to midnight. Triple Points also will be in effect when the casinos reopen.
Paradise Casino Arizona and Paradise Casino California are owned and operated by the Quechan Tribe and are located on the Fort Yuma Reservation.
The casinos have more than 820 slot machines, 21 blackjack tables, a live poker room, a 24-hour restaurant, bingo and two bars.
