Science Club carwash fundraiser
The Arizona Western College/Northern Arizona University Science Club will hold a carwash Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at IHOP, 575 E. 16th St.
An exterior carwash will be $5, with an optional $2 extra for an interior wash.
Proceeds will be used for club activities such as Family Night, the Sustainability Fair and the Coat and Shoe Drive, and for club meeting snacks.

Open house for Massage Therapy Program
The Arizona Western College Licensed Massage Therapy Program will hold an open house from 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at its new location, 2451 S. Avenue A, Suite 101 (in the Kachina Plaza).
During the free event, students will offer chair massages for tips, which will help support the Massage Therapy Club's field trips and scholarships. Light appetizers will be served.
“The AWC community, Yuma Regional Medical Center staff and the general public are invited to attend,” stated a news release.
Kate Turpin, program coordinator, said that by partnering with YRMC, both institutions will be able to better create and sustain wellness programs and opportunities for the community.
“We have very creative students who have some great ideas for improving our program and providing scholarships for college education,” she said.
