Yuma Union High School District is holding an event Tuesday for students across the county interested in pursuing higher education.
The district's annual Higher Education Night will be held at Kofa High School, 3100 S. Avenue A, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Representatives from various colleges, universities and technical institutes will be available to answer questions from students and parents about admissions requirements, specific programs, scholarships and financial aid.
“This is an important opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to talk to college representatives to be sure that they are on the right track for acceptance to the school of their choice,” said YUHSD officials. “Freshmen and sophomores will also benefit from this event by gathering information to help them prepare for their future. Community college students and parents may want to find out about their educational opportunities, as well.”
Sessions throughout the evening will include information on ACT and SAT tests, college transfer opportunities, ROTC and military academy admissions, financial aid and affording college as well as preparing for scholarship opportunities.
For more information contact Kofa High School scholarship coordinator Elizabeth Aguirre at 502-5555.
