There could be new owner in the future for Adair Shooting Range after the county supervisors meet Monday.

The Yuma County Board of Supervisors will hear a presentation from the Arizona Game and Fish Commission, which has proposed becoming the new owner of the range northeast of Yuma on Highway 95.

The county currently owns the park. Adair Inc., a group of five local sporting groups, operates the range.

There will be a public hearing at Monday's meeting. Officials from both the county and the commission previously told the Yuma Sun they encourage the public to attend, ask questions and be part of the process.

The meeting and public hearing are at 9 a.m. Monday at 198 S. Main St. in Yuma.

Also on the agenda, the supervisors are expected to vote to define the voting precinct boundaries for the 2010 general election Nov. 2, 2010.

They are also expected to approve installation of a new flashing beacon at the intersection of Avenue D and County 11th (City 32nd) Street.

The supervisors are also expected to vote on two items regarding the Yuma County Public Health Services District.

The first will be to approve a Public Health Emergency Response grant for $475,167. According to the meeting agenda, the money will be used for a mass vaccination campaign at local levels and to address any gaps in the capabilities for mass vaccination implementation plans and activities.

The supervisors will also vote to approve two full-time child care health consultants to provide health consultation and training services within Yuma County, and increase the budget authority to $202,000 for the positions, according to the meeting agenda.
