Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Arizona Public Service Co. was working this evening to restore power to about 180 residential and commercial customers affected by an outage.

They were among 975 customers who lost power beginning at 12:51 p.m. in an area bounded by 10th Street, 2nd Avenue, 16th Street and Avenue B.

Power was restored to 600 customers shortly after 1:15 p.m., APS spokesman Damon Gross said.

Gross said the utility was hoping to restore power to everyone by this evening or during the night.

No cause for the outage was immediately identified, he said.
