School district to be recognized for United Way contributions
At a meeting Monday, the Yuma Elementary School District will be recognized for its participation in United Way and donations made to the organization by district employees.
The district will be acknowledged for contributions to United Way during a check presentation.
In other meeting news, chief financial officer Kerry Jones will provide the group with a monthly budget assessment and an enrollment report as of the 100th day of the school year compared with last year.
Sunrise Elementary School staff will also give a report to the governing board highlighting achievement and events at their school.
Additionally, the district will decide whether to approve two to three administrators to participate in out-of-state recruiting for highly qualified and highly effective teachers in Illinois, Washington and Michigan.
