‘Mammos and ManiCURES' event to offer ladies a healthy night out
Gather your girlfriends together for a fun evening of manicures, massages, food and mammograms.
Yuma Regional Medical Center and Bridget's Gift are treating women to “Mammos and ManiCURES,” a special event Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Yuma Regional Medical Plaza, 1501 W. 24th St.
The focus will be on preventing breast cancer through screening mammograms and awareness.
Guests will enjoy free manicures, massages, a pink candy bar and bone density and blood pressure health screenings.
The event will include a cooking demo with Executive Chef Alex Trujillo, Bridget's Gift photo booth and an “Ask the Expert” segment with physicians.
In addition, two speakers will discuss issues related to women's health. The topics are:
• “The Naked Truth: Mammograms and Pap Smears” presented by Dr. Kristina Diaz
• “Advancements in Cancer Care” presented by Dr. Brenda Carroll, Dr. Timothy Galang and Dr. Greg Yang
Women over 40 are encouraged to get an annual mammogram. To schedule a mammogram during this event, call 336-6266. However, guests do not have to receive a mammogram to attend the event.
