Health camp application deadline extended

The deadline for teens to apply for the Yuma Regional Medical Center Health Career Exploration Camp has been extended to Friday.

The July 14-18 camp is designed to help students decide if health care careers are in their futures.

Participants will become acquainted with various health care careers through hands-on activities, classroom lectures and shadowing experiences.

Applications for the camp are available at www.yumaregional.org/healthcarecareer.html; in the YRMC Volunteer Services Department or in Human Resources at the main campus, 2400 S. Avenue A; at the Yuma Regional Corporate Center, 399 W. 32nd St.; and from high school counselors.

Applicants must commit to attending the full week of the camp. There are limited slots available, and selection is based on the student’s application information and essay.

The cost of $20 per person includes lunch. Scholarships are available.
