Comments 0 | Recommend 0

The American flag will fly at half-staff at some fire stations stations Sunday in honor of fallen firefighters.

The Yuma, Somerton, San Luis, Ariz., and Rural/Metro fire departments said they would be lowering flags to half-staff at their stations around the area.

Flags are being lowered in conjunction with observance of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend observance taking place across the nation.

The annual observance honors firefighters who have died in the line of duty.
