A Wellton home was destroyed by fire Saturday evening.
The Wellton Fire Department said the park model, at the Sun Country RV Park, 10321 S. Fresno St., was fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived at about 6:30 p.m. The owners had attempted to extinguish the flames with a garden hose, but were unsuccessful.
Two nearby homes sustained minor heat damage. There were no injuries.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation, but it appears the fire started in a nearby shed.
