Five injured in San Luis, Ariz. accident
Police were continuing an investigation into a Monday afternoon automobile accident that injured five people in San Luis, Ariz.
Three of the five required hospitalization, while two others, including a 2-year-old girl, suffered minor bruises, said Luis Cebreros, a spokesman for the San Luis Fire Department.
The two-car accident occurred about 12:40 p.m. at Piceno Drive and Main Street, Cebreros said.
Bernardino Garcia of Wellton was driving a Hyundai sedan north on Main when a Pontiac sedan driven by Rosa Flores, address unavailable, turned into Garcia's path while turning south from Piceno into the southbound lane of Main, police Lt. Gerardo Torres said.
A traffic light is located at the intersection, Torres said, and police were looking into who had the green light.
All five people were wearing seat belts, Cebreros said.
Three injured people - Garcia, Flores and Serafin Luna of San Luis, Ariz. - were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center by Rural/Metro and the Somerton/Cocopah Fire Department.
The other two people in the accident were not identified.
