Forum to explore community issues
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A forum Thursday at Arizona Western College is designed to help educate and broaden public knowledge about local community issues.
The forum, hosted by the Political Science Department at Arizona Western College, will host a political discussion from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the AWC Theater Building.
During the forum, panelists discuss issues, actions and make suggestions on how people can get involved in their local community.
Speakers include state Sen. Amanda Aguirre, D-Yuma; San Luis Mayor Juan Carlos Escamilla; Yuma Deputy Mayor Ema Lea Shoop; Wellton Town Councilman Alex M. Bejarano; Gadsden School District board member Tadeo De La Hoya; and Somerton City Councilman Miguel Villapando.
Mohammed "Mo" Bahramzadeh, Ph.D., AWC professor of political science will moderate the forum.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will follow.
