Government offices closed Friday

Government offices around Yuma County will be off for the holiday Friday.

Federal, state and county offices will observe the Fourth of July on Friday since the holiday falls on a Saturday.

Also closed will be municipal offices in Yuma, Somerton, San Luis and Wellton.

Mail will be delivered Friday but not Saturday. The Yuma Main Post Office will open regular hours on Friday, while the Foothills Post Office will close at noon Friday.

Banks will be open Friday but closed Saturday.

The Yuma Sun's offices will be closed to the public Friday, but the newspaper will distribute a Friday morning edition as usual.
