According to the Yuma Police Department, the four suspects are Daniel Torres, 19; Lovany Alegre, 22; Anthony Burke, 18; and Jose Lopez, 18.
YPD said at 3:12 p.m. officers responded to the Cibola High School softball fields in reference to a gang fight about to occur near the bathrooms.
During the incident, a witness observed a gun being brandished. The subject with the gun got into a gray Honda passenger car with three others and was seen leaving the area westbound on 20th Street.
Police said the witness followed the vehicle while keeping in contact with police dispatchers. The vehicle was later located by officers in the area of Avenue D and County 14th Street, and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted.
During a search of the vehicle, a small-caliber handgun was found wrapped in a blue bandanna and hidden in the dashboard, police reported.
According to YPD, all four subjects were arrested for aggravated assault, participating in a criminal street gang, gang threats, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
