Yuma High registration Tuesday and Thursday

Eighth-grade students planning to attend Yuma High School in the fall are invited to register on Tuesday and Thursday along with their parents.

During the event, students that live in the Yuma High School attendance boundaries will have the opportunity to complete and collect all registration materials and review course selections for the upcoming year.

Incoming students who attend Woodard and Gila Vista Jr. high schools should attend registration on Tuesday and students from Fourth Ave. Jr. High and all other middle schools should attend registration on Thursday. Both registrations will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Yuma High School cafeteria.

“Parents are strongly encouraged to attend on the evening specified, but if necessary, may attend the other meeting,” said Yuma High School Assistant Principal Tom Safranek.

Parents should bring their proof of residency along with the parent's photo identification and a copy of their student's birth certificate. Copy machines will be available.

“As we near the completion of another school year, it is time to begin preparing local eighth-grade students to enroll and register in high school,” said Safranek. “In order to ensure a smooth start in August, a great deal of work must be done, and our parents and students play an important role.”

Those that are unable to attend the registration events on Tuesday and Thursday may register their children at Yuma High School during regular business hours beginning Monday, April 23.
