Lettuce out on interstate

A farm truck traveling on Interstate-8 near Yuma spilled lettuce heads all over the roadway Saturday morning, causing lane restrictions for several hours.
The incident happened at about 10:40 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-8 near milepost 30. Law enforcement personnel responded to the scene and closed the left lane to traffic while the lettuce was cleaned up.
The lettuce heads were removed and all lanes were reopened by 3 p.m.
