Holiday closures Wednesday through Friday

The following locations will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving Day:

• The city of Yuma, Wellton, Somerton and San Luis offices (also closed Friday).

• Yuma County offices (also closed Friday).

• Yuma County libraries, which will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The libraries will reopen Saturday, except the Roll and Dateland branches, which will reopen Monday.

• Somerton School District and San Pasqual Valley Unified schools (also closed Friday). Schools in Yuma Elementary School District 1, Crane School District, Yuma Union High School District and Gadsden Elementary School District will be closed Wednesday through Friday.

• The Yuma Sun office will be closed Thursday but will reopen Friday.

There will be no Yuma residential garbage pickup on Thursday. Those homes normally scheduled for Monday and Thursday trash pickup will be collected on Monday and Wednesday. Those homes normally scheduled for Tuesday and Friday pickup will remain the same.
