Thanksgiving delivery at San Luis port - It's a boy!

Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to the port of entry in San Luis dealt with an unusual entrant into the country on Thanksgiving.

According to CBP, a 21-year-old woman on her way into the United States barely made it to the border before she gave birth to a baby boy at the port.

Upon entering the port, the woman immediately asked a Customs officer for help her, saying she was in labor.

Customs officers began rendering the aid to the woman and called the San Luis Fire Department for help, but the baby couldn't wait.

According to CBP, the baby was born a few minutes later with the assistance of a female officer.

Paramedics from the San Luis Fire Department took over upon their arrival and transported the mother and child to Yuma Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.

“This was probably the scariest but yet rewarding and amazing experience of my life,” said the female CBP officer who helped deliver the baby.

The woman's nation of residence was not reported.
