Muscular dystrophy run/walk this Saturday
Lace up your shoes to help fight muscular dystrophy in Yuma on Saturday.
A 5K and 10K walk/run to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) will take place Saturday morning at West Wetlands Park. The event is hosted by Yuma’s ERA Matt Fischer Realtor.
Sign up as a team or individual online at www.musclewalkmda.org/yumaera or in person the day of the event. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the run/walk at 8 a.m.
T-shirts and goodie bags will be given away to the first 200 10K and 5K run participants. The 5K and 10K registration fee is $25. To walk, just bring a donation.
"Sponsoring this MDA Run/Walk is just one more way that we can show our support for MDA and the important work it does for those with neuromuscular diseases," said broker Michael Hall of ERA Matt Fischer, a longtime MDA supporter. "Every contribution, no matter how small, can make all the difference in helping researchers to find a cure."
MDA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support, research and curing of muscular dystrophy, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and related diseases.
