Nonprofit merger seminar Wednesday
Leaders of Yuma area nonprofit organizations are invited to attend a seminar detailing how to merge with or absorb other nonprofit groups. The seminar, NPO Mergers and Acquisitions, will be hosted by the Yuma Area Nonprofit Institute and the Phoenix Philanthropy Group.
The seminar will begin at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Yuma Main Library, 2951 South 21st Drive. The event is $45 for YANPI members and $60 for nonmembers. The fee includes a catered lunch.

The seminar will feature nonprofit expert Marc Kellenberger as well as Julie Iacobelli, senior consultant of the Phoenix Philanthropy Group.
Kellenberger has over 30 years of experience with educational institutions, art organizations and human service agencies as a chief development officer and executive-level administrator.
He has led capital and annual campaigns, managed marketing and public relations functions, conducted comprehensive organizational assessments, facilitated board development and strategic planning sessions, and orchestrated mergers between nonprofit organizations.
Prior to his consulting work, Kellenberger served as senior vice-president and chief development officer for Arizona's Children Association, vice-president of Aid to Adoption of Special Kids, associate executive director of the Arizona's Children Foundation, and director of development for Phoenix Theatre.
Iacobelli has been dedicated to the nonprofit field for 18 years. Her expertise includes organization assessment, board and organizational development, writing fundraising plans, and developing annual giving and capital campaigns.
Iacobelli was formerly the CEO for Communities In Schools of Arizona, was named 2002 Executive Director of the Year by the Organization for Nonprofit Executives, and is a graduate of Valley Leadership.
