Four sex offenders have new addresses

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is alerting the public to the address changes of four convicted sex offenders.

Spurgeon Wesley Hilton, 41, is now residing at 4815 W. Clip St., while David E. Vaughn, 59, is living at 5625 E. County 5-1/2 Street, No. 66.

Miguel Sanchez, 42, will now be living at 17342 S. A½ Ave. in Somerton, and Michael Woodward, 53, at 10394 S. Avenue 14½E in Yuma.

Hilton is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, 205 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Vaughn is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 152 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Sanchez is described as 6 feet 1 inches tall, 220 pounds with black hair and blue eyes. Woodward is described as 6 feet 0 inches tall, 155 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.

Hilton and Sanchez are both Level 2 sex offenders and considered an intermediate risk to reoffend, while Vaughn and Woodward are considered Level 3 sex offenders with a high risk to reoffend.

In 1996, Hilton was convicted of sexual conduct with a minor in Yuma County Superior Court. His offense involved a 15-year-old victim. Vaughn was convicted in Yuma County Superior Court in 2002 of attempting to molest four children between the ages of 3 and 11.

In 2007, Sanchez was convicted of furnishing materials to a minor with sexual motivation. His offense involved a 14-year-old victim.

Woodward was convicted of attempted child molestation of a 13-year-old girl who was related to him in 1987. He was convicted of a second offense later that same year of molesting three victims, ages 7, 1 and 8, all related to him.

Woodward was convicted of a third offense of two counts of sexual assault of a 7-year-old child in 1999.

According to Megan's Law, law enforcement is required to notify the surrounding neighborhood when Level 3 and Level 2 sex offenders are released. No community notification is required for Level 1 offenders.
