Final primary results released

Mikel Weisser led Johnnie Robinson by 85 votes in the Democratic race for U.S. Congress in District 4 Friday evening. The vote had been too close to call on Thursday.

The number is based on the final unofficial results released by the Yuma County recorder and election Offices and the latest tallies by the Arizona secretary of state released Friday.

If Weisser maintains his lead districtwide, he will face Republican candidate Paul Gosar for the general election in November.

The voting tallies for Tuesday's primary election in Yuma County will remain unofficial until the board of supervisors canvasses the results Wednesday.

U.S. House Democratic Race - District 3 - 27 of precincts in Yuma County, and 189 of 189 precincts statewide reporting:

Amanda Aguirre received 50.08 percent, or 2,744 votes in Yuma County, with 25.65 percent, or 8,866 votes districtwide.

Manny Arreguin received 6.5 percent, or 356 votes in Yuma County, with 8.54 percent, or 2,951 votes districtwide.

Raul Grijalva received 43.06 percent, or 2,359 votes in Yuma County, with 65.51 percent, or 22,642 districtwide.

U.S. House Republican Race - District 3 - 42 of 42 precincts in Yuma County, and 189 of 189 precincts in AZ reporting:

Gabriela Saucedo Mercer received 64.01 percent, or 1,956 votes in Yuma County, with 64.75 percent, or 11,376 votes districtwide.

Jaime Vasquez received 35.15 percent, or 1,079 votes in Yuma County, with 34.34 percent, or 6,032 votes districtwide.

U.S. House Republican Race - District 4 - 15 of 15 precincts in Yuma County and 266 of 266 precincts reporting districtwide:

Paul Gosar received 50.95 percent, or 2,628 votes in Yuma County, with 50.86 percent, or 37,256 votes districtwide.

Ron Gould received 36.72 percent, or 1,894 votes in Yuma County, with 31.63 percent, or 23,170 votes districtwide.

Rick Murphy received 12.61 percent, or 627 votes in Yuma County, with 17.38 percent, or 12,729 votes districtwide.

U.S. House Democratic Race - District 4 - 15 of 15 precincts in Yuma County and 266 of 266 districtwide:

Johnnie Robinson received 54.15 percent, or 1,069 votes in Yuma County, with 48.86 percent, or 9,449 votes districtwide.

Mikel Weisser received 44.07 percent, or 870 votes in Yuma County, with 49.30 percent, or 9,534 votes districtwide.

Ariz. State Representative Democratic Race - District 4 - 22 of 22 precincts in Yuma County reporting, and 59 of 59 reporting districtwide:

Juan Carlos Escamilla received 37.76 percent, or 2,486 votes in Yuma County, with 33.25 percent, or 3,803 votes districtwide.

Charlene Fernandez received 26.93 percent, or 1,773 votes in Yuma County, with 31.61 percent, or 3,615 votes districtwide.

Lisa Otondo received 34.95 percent, or 2,301 votes, in Yuma County, with 34.84 percent, or 3,985 votes districtwide.

John Nelson received 23.71 percent, or 1,467 votes, in Yuma County, with 34.34 percent, or 4,835 votes districtwide.

Don Shooter received 76.13 percent, or 4,711 votes, in Yuma County, with 65.45 percent, or 9,215 votes districtwide.

Wil Cardon received 16.93 percent, or 1,444 votes in Yuma County, with 21.24 percent or 92,612 statewide.

Jeff Flake received 62.05 percent, or 5,292 votes in Yuma County, with 68.93 percent or 300,554 votes statewide.

Bryan Hackbarth received 10.19 percent, or 869 votes in Yuma County, with 3.83 percent or 16,686 statewide.

Clair Van Steenwyk received 10.34 percent or 882 votes in Yuma County, with 5.7 percent or 24,855 votes statewide.
