Summer vacation photo contest seeking entries

Submit your favorite photo from this summer at contestsinyuma.com for a chance to win a package from Cocopah Resort and Conference Center and Wild River, and to have the photo published in the August edition of Raising Yuma.

“We want the best photo,” said Adrianne Wagner, marketing manager for Yuma Sun.

Entries are now being accepted from individuals who live within a 60-mile radius of Yuma.

The photos can be taken anywhere — from the Yuma area, to Italy or China — and can depict any subject matter including rainbows, landscaping, family photos and animals. However, inappropriate photos will not be accepted.

“People can submit any photo,” Wagner said. “It doesn't matter if they are going to Hawaii, Phoenix, San Diego or stay at home and play in the back yard.”

There can only be one valid entry per contestant. Contestants must be 13 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest.

Entries must be submitted by Aug. 5 at 5 p.m.

Entries will be judged by a Yuma Sun committee who will review the photos and pick the best ones.

The winner will receive Cocopah's Triple Play Getaway which includes a one-night stay at the Cocopah Resort, bowling, pizza and 24-hour pool time for four people.

Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. The event sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until the completed form W-9 is received.
