Police identify body found in backyard
Yuma police have identified the body found Saturday morning in the backyard of a home in the 1000 block of South 8th Avenue as Edgar Antonio Camargo, 17.
Sgt. Leanne Worthen, of the Yuma Police Department, said officers were called to the residence at about 8:21 a.m. that day in regards to an unresponsive subject in the area.
She said the initial investigation revealed he was found dead in the backyard of one of the adjacent residences.
Worthen said the cause of death is unknown at this time, but the investigation is ongoing. Police have deemed the death as suspicious because they also don't know when the young man died.
Detectives are looking for anyone who may have spent time with or been in touch with Camargo since Monday, Aug. 27, until the time he was found on Saturday.
