Drug trends presentation Thursday
Comments 0 | Recommend 0 Current drug use trends will be presented Thursday by the Yuma Police Department in cooperation with Kofa High School and Yuma Union High School District.
The program will focus on prescription drug and over-the-counter drug abuse. It will cover warning signs for parents to identify drug use among their teens and offer resources if they find their teen is using.
YPD Officer Erick Resendiz will discuss the use of steroids, Dust Off or "Dusting," GHB, Ecstasy, CCC (Coricidin Cough and Cold Relief), DXM, marijuana, cheese, strawberry methamphetamines and other drugs.
Free and open to the public, the program will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Kofa High School Auditorium, 3100 S. Avenue A. Those attending are encouraged to come early due to the construction. The bus lane will be open for parking in designated areas.
