Expressway public meeting scheduled
A study team from the Arizona Department of Transportation will present corridor alternatives for a planned Yuma expressway during a public meeting Thursday.
The meeting will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the city of Yuma's Public Works Services Building, 155 W. 14th St.
The proposed roadway would provide a southwest Yuma link to Interstate 8 and State Route 195 generally in the vicinity of County 14th Street and Avenue D.
Members of the public are invited to attend Thursday's meeting, view ADOT's conceptual corridor alternatives, ask questions of the study team and submit comments.
The first public meeting was held in September when the study team presented current and future conditions.
In recent months, according to ADOT, the project team has been working on how to address long-term transportation planning needs and define potential corridor alternatives based on technical data and input received from the public and stakeholders.
