Early morning quake felt in Yuma
A magnitude 4.9 earthquake shook Yuma County early Tuesday morning.
No injuries or damage to any infrastructure in Yuma County was reported as a result of the temblor.
The quake originated 33 miles southwest of San Luis, Ariz., in Mexico at 3:09 a.m. Mountain Standard Time, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It was centered about 6.2 miles beneath the Earth's surface at a location about eight miles southwest of Guadalupe Victoria, Baja Calif.
The quake was initially reported by USGS as having a magnitude of 5.1 but was downgraded to 4.9 after a review by seismologists.
